Born in Malta and having completed his schooling at St Aloysius Jesuit School, Dr Jean Paul attended undergraduate dental school in London at Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary’s, University of London. Graduating with distinction he furthered his studies at Masters level in the speciality of Implant Dentistry at The Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. Outside the clinic, Dr Jean Paul's main interests lie with spending quality time with his family, yachting, antiques as well as cooking

Pascal A. Demajo is a third generation dental surgeon, graduating from the Royal University of Malta. He joined the family practice (established 1919) as a Junior partner in 1971. He practices general dentistry with special emphasis in Orthodontics and Prosthodontics. He furthered his dental training in Implantology at the Eastman Dental Clinic in London and at Clinica Malo’ in Lisbon, Portugal.

An art lover by nature, with special interests in antique Italian maiolica, Italian Baroque painting and antique Maltese silver. A member of the Malta Dental Association, Knight of Magisterial Grace of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and sits on the Board of Governors of Malta’s premier NGO - Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti.

He is married to Juanita nee La Rosa and has two children, Michelle and Jean Paul, both dental surgeons.

Michelle Demajo graduated from The University of Malta in 1999 and has since worked within the family-run private practice as a junior partner, both in the Valletta and Ta' Xbiex Clinics. Her work covers General Dentistry with special interests in Paediatric, performing regular GA sessions and clinic-based Sedation sessions for anxious adult patients. She too has a new found fascination for Immediate Cad-Cam Dentistry, where great aesthetics and functionality are restored within hours. She believes working in close collaboration with our specialised onsite laboratory technicians creates the best results. A dedicated mother and wife, she also holds a Diploma in Interior Design, where inspiration is mostly brought about by her love for travel, yoga, photography, good food and simple, healthy living.

Graduated in 1997  he has ever since worked at the clinic performing prosthodontics, orthodontics and restorative dentistry. He has a special interest in CAD CAM dentistry.

Sarah Vella graduated in Dentistry from the Universitry of Malta in 2012, since then she has worked at Drs. Demajo Dental Clinics.  She performs general dentistry, mostly restorative and paediatrics, including sedation and general anaesthesia when required.  Having a special interest in aesthetic dentistry, she has completed an Aesthetic and Restorative masterclass course at King's College London.

In her free time she enjoys reading, sports and travelling.

She  graduated in Dentistry in 2003 with Merit in Orthodontics and Overall performance from the University of Malta. After 2 years working in hospital, she worked locally in practice for 3 years. Following this she gained Oral Surgery experience in various posts in the UK, after which she moved to a Senior Dental Officer in Community Dental NHS treating paediatric and special needs patients. During this time she held an Honorary teaching post in Paediatric Dentistry with the University of Sheffield. She obtained Membership in the Joint Member Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009 and a postgraduate certificate in clinical audit studies in 2011.

Following 3 year Orthodontic Registrar training in the West Midlands, UK, she obtained the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013. Soon after she graduated in Masters of Philosophy in Orthodontics from the University of Birmingham and subsequently been awarded the Worcestershire Postgraduate Research Award in 2013. She has since gained extensive experience in the UK both in private, NHS and hospital settings working with labial, aesthetic and lingual orthodontic appliances.  She has published several articles in Orthodontic Update, Dental Update, BDJ and Journal of Oral Science. She is married to a Head and Neck surgeon and have two little boys who take up most, if not all of her free time. But when she does have time to spare, she enjoys pencil drawing and cooking for friends and family.

He graduated as a dental surgeon in 1999 from the University of Malta (B.Ch.D). After having worked in the dental department at St. Luke’s University Teaching Hospital for two years, he subsequently took up a post as a Senior House Officer in Oral Medicine & Oral Surgery at the University Teaching Hospital of Glasgow in Scotland following which he was awarded the Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the  Royal College of Surgeons of England (M.F.D.S.R.C.S). After having taken up the post as the Dental Surgeon responsible for the Dental Emergency Department at St. Luke’s Hospital, he began the Medical undergraduate degree at the University of Malta (M.D) which he  completed in 2005. He underwent foundation training for two years covering General Medicine, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery and was also appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy in the University of Malta. 

In 2007, he was appointed as a Specialist Registrar in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the South Yorkshire & South Humber in the UK covering a number of University Teaching Hospitals including Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Rotherham and Chesterfield during which time he completed the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (M.R.C.P.S). Following the completion of specialist training,  he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (F.R.C.S{OMFS}). In February 2013, he was appointed as a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon / Head & Neck Cancer at The James Cook University Teaching Hospital in Middlesbrough, UK. He had obtained a vast amount of expertise in dento-alveolar surgery, surgery related to craniofacial trauma, Head & Neck cancer surgery, skin surgery, TMJ surgery and orthognathic (Facial Deformity) surgery amongst others. In 2013 he completed the Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Brighton Business School of Management.

He has published in several peer reviewed journals including Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, British Dental Journal and Dental Update and received rewards for best published article from the Australian Dental Journal. He  currently occupies the post as an Examiner with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Zafar qualified in 2011 from Riphah International University, Islamabad,Pakistan and after one year residency in all the related field’s of dentistry, he started working at a private practice and a year later he moved to United kingdom for a short stint. He did his clinical attachment at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital in Oral & Maxillofacial department. After returning to Pakistan, Dr Zafar passed his fellowship examination held by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and commenced training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department at one of the country’s prestigious Cancer Hospitals in Lahore Pakistan. After gaining two years of working experience he moved to Italy to further his studies and training in the field of Periodontology.

In January 2016, Dr Zafar commenced a three year specialist training programme in Periodontology and Implant dentistry at University of Turin, Italy and obtained his MSc( Periodontics) and MSc in Implant Dentistry, both with distinction. He has been awarded his Certificate of completion of specialist training(CCST) in Periodontology by the European Federation of Periodontology(EFP). The same year he started his training in Turin, he passed examinations to attain full licence to practice Dentistry in Malta.

He is a member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, the European Federation of Periodontology.

Originally from Wales, Rhys Owen graduated as a dental surgeon (BDS) from the University of Cardiff, in 2008. Following a vocational training year in Cardiffhe worked as a general dental practitioner in London for seven years. He became a member of the joint dental faculties (MJDF) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016, prior to moving to Malta and joining the team at Demajo Dental Clinic.

In his free time he enjoys dining out, various sporting pursuits and the occasional holiday to new and exiting places.

Dr Daniela Costantino

Dr Daniela graduated as a dental surgeon in Germany in 2007 as the best of the year. In 2009 she finished her curriculum in implantology, studied further 3 years to become one of Germany’s first “Master of Science in Aesthetic and Function” in 2015. In 2019 she was acknowledged “Tissue Master” from the European dental association. She is continuously updating for the newest techniques in dentistry. Her first aim is to create perfect smiles, with minimal invasive techniques, saving as much of the tooth substance as possible, following nature’s rules by creating bone without foreign augmentation materials and using ultra short implants, avoiding major surgeries. As a Master of Function she is specialized for joint diseases and rehabilitation of severe tooth wear. Furthermore she works with myo-functional appliances to enhance the development of the jaws in adults and children. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her family, theater, arts, yoga and pilates.

Dr Anton Hedlund

Born in Stockholm, Sweden; Dr Anton graduated from one of the foremost dental schools in the world: namely Karolinska Institute. Anton enjoys all fields of dentistry, but the opportunity that the area of prosthodontics gives to transform a smile and restore a patient’s ability to enjoy life, is extra dear to him. 

In his clinical work, Dr Anton believes in great communication and always showing empathy with his patients, and never cutting corners. 

In his free time, Anton is very passionate about cycling, strength training and music, and he is a foodie with a huge sweet tooth.

Dr Giedre Lauzikaite

"Since qualifying from the Vilnius Medical University Dental Faculty in 2009 and finishing with an MSc degree in General Dentistry, Dr Giedre has concentrated in honing her skills in the fields of aesthetic restorative dentistry. Her drive and passion for these fields have led her to pursue further experience and qualifications in some of the best clinics in Lithuania and the UK. Forming part of the General Dental Council in the UK since 2016. 

She actively participates in various seminars, courses and conferences around Europe.  Some of latest courses that Giedre have taken are on the Tripton academy in London for restorative dentistry and occlusion in 2018 and PG Program in Restorative Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons in London. Giedre performs cosmetic dental procedures in prosthetic dentistry, such like: full ceramic microveneers, microlaminates, inlays, onlays, smile makeover, worn out bite restoration. 

Also Dr. Giedre has wealth experience in all types of general dentistry. She is also well experienced in short – term conventional orthodontics. Dr. Giedre’s approach is driven by minimally invasive treatments and not only providing comfortable and safe treatment to her patients, but also to educate and motivate patients in good oral health.”

Francesca was born in Italy in the beautiful area of Lago Maggiore in Piemonte.  She graduated as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Milano Bicocca in 2006.  Her daily work includes the prevention and treatment of gum disease through conventional methods. Francesca has recently completed her training in the Laser Therapy of gum diease at the University of Genova.  She is a member of the Malta Association of Dental Hygienists. Outside the clinic she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children.  She loves nature, travelling and mountain sports, especially trekking, skiing and bike riding.  She also enjoys cooking Italian food.

 

 Camillo Vuolo

He followed the BSc. in Dental Hygiene, and graduated in 2019 at the University of Malta with a thesis focusing on comparing the Oral Health Status of Electronic-cigarette users, Conventional Smokers, and Non-smokers, the subject of his research was the first ever done in Malta. Soon after, he joined our practice where he welcomes our patients with caring and professional attitude. He particularly enjoys taking time to provide the patients with preventive, high-quality treatment. Additionally, he is a proud member of the "Malta Association of Dental Hygienist".

 

During his free time, Camillo enjoys cooking otherworldly dishes, playing guitar, and outdoor sports. Not to mention the time he spends taking care of his two lovely cats Geppetto and Ninetta.

 

 

Dr Maria Fahdi

Dr Maria Fahdi graduated Université Laval In Quebec City, Canada in 2009 and completely a general practice residency at the Foothills and Alberta’s Children Hospital in Calgary Alberta, where she was trained to work with medically compromised children and adults. She completed her sedation and nitrous oxide training during her residency. She’s been practicing dentistry in Malta since 2018 with special interest in aesthetics , CAD/CAM dentistry, Invisalign and paediatrics. In her private time, she enjoys fashion and design, food and being active with her family.
